A native of Michigan, Cynthia Spencer attended undergraduate school at Central Michigan University, receiving a B.S. in Psychology. She received a Masters in Counseling from the University of Phoenix.  Cynthia is Licensed as a Professional Counselor by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health.

Cynthia has been working with children and families for the past 20 years. She began her work in Early Childhood Development and worked exclusively with children birth-12 years old, specializing in parenting education,  child abuse, attachment issues and trauma. She then began focusing her work to include adolescents, and the needs of this unique age group.  

Aside from her private practice, Cynthia also serves as a counselor on the school campus of New Way Academy, a private school specializing in supporting child with learning differences. She has a certification in Social Emotional education and supports child and adults in the area of emotional intellegence.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She is an avid runner and enjoys competing in local half marathons.
